(This was a research degree with a thesis in two parts: a creative section and a critical essay. My creative section, “Hunter”, was a 35,000 word novella following a New Zealand family on trip to Florida. The 15,000 word critical essay, “Hunting for a Voice” examined the influence of three writers; John Irving, Richard Ford and Raymond Carver, on my writing in general and on the novella in particular). The Fryer Library catalogue record is here.
